DNS schtuff is all better now (thanks, CRA and BigFatPipe folks -- you truly rock!), so we're broadcasting again.
Michael Moore has endorsed Wesley Clark for President, something I didn't see coming. After doing a lot of research on Howard Dean, I found him to be the candidate I thought had the best chance at defeating George Bush in the 2004 election, as well as being an effective and worthwhile choice. Now, I have to see whether Clark's platform holds water.
With baseball season winding down (at least for North Texans), I'm starting to think about what will fill my time between weekends, where my only gig is during football action. The new column is getting more of my mental bandwidth, and the house needs tweaks here and there. Past that, I have no desire to merely sit around the house during the week and get fat. Again.
I had hoped to be doing Mac tech support for 30 hours a week by now, but we're behind on our goal to have everything in place by October 1. (Insert Lennon quote about life.) Instead, I'm still making the same money I was making in April. There are a couple of opportunities coming up, and I will look at everything available. California looms, but I have to be realistic about it all.
A few people have noticed that I seem more haggard recently, less "bouncy," as one person put it. Am I getting depressed? Was I always, and it's just harder to hide now than normally?
Well........ the last time I was with you, you seemed pretty "bouncy" to me. Just remember... 'good things come to those who wait' (& I believe that even though I don't have a patient bone in my body - I'm an instant gratification girl, myself). You'll know what you need to do when the time comes ~~ California or no California. Just keep on truckin'... I believe in you.
